Covishield 

    Covishield vaccine is a vaccine that aims to protect against Covid -19.

Composition 

  •  Recombinant ,replicatiom - deficient Chimapanzee adenovirus vector encoding with
     SARS - CO -V -2 spike(S)glucoprotein.
  • This product contain genetically modified organisam (GMOs) .

Colour 

      Solution colourless to slightly brown, clear to slightly opaque & particle free with Ph 6.6 .

      Solution for injection. 

Posology 

  • Covishield vaccine course consist of two separate dose of 0.5ml each. 
  • The 2nd dose should be administered between 4 to 6 weeks after 1st dose of the day. 
  • There is no data available for administered of 2nd dose upto 12week after 1st dose
 

Elderly people

    Currently, limited individual less than 65 years of age. No dose adjustment required for elderly individual less than 65 years. 

Paediatric person 

      Currently, limited individual less than 18 years have been yet been established. 

Excipients

  • L - Histidine
  • L - Histidine hydrochlore monohydrate 
  • Magnesium chloride hexahydrate 
  • Polysorbate 80 
  • Ethanol
  • Sucrose 
  • Nacl
  • Disodium edetate dihydrate (EDTA). 

Method of administered 

  • 1 dose contain (0.5 ml).
  • Intramuscular injection (IM)  only,preferably in delotid muscle

Overdose

  • Experience of overdose is limited. 

  • There is no specific treatment of overdose with monitored and provided with symptomatic
     treatment as appropriate. 

Shelf  life 

  • Once opened, multidose vials should be used as soon as practically possible and within 6 hours
     kept between the +2*C  and  +25*C .
  • All opened multidose vials should be discarded at end of immunization session or within 6 hours. 


Instructions 

       Don't shake the vial. 

      

Label and packing for storage 

  • Store in refrigerator (+2*C to +8*C ),
  • Don't freeze. 
  • Protect from light. 

Content of container 

  Covishield supplied as ready for use liquid in rubber stopped multidose vial and single dose vial in below listed 

       1st dose  - 0.5ml per vial

       2nd dose -  1.0 ml per vial

       5th dose -  2.5ml per vial

       10th dose - 5.0 ml per vial

       20th dose - 10 ml per vial
